I would consider myself to be a hybrid web-print/apparel/accessory designer, which is bizarre considering I spent most of my life sincerely thinking I was going to end up in a science field. What began as hobbies helped me realize just where my passion really was; creative design, regardless of what facet. While my undying love for science still consumes me, I came to an incredible epiphany a few years ago:
I must create something daily to feel fulfilled and challenged, otherwise I feel useless.
For over 15 years, I have been working with web design and graphic media.
For over 13 years, I’ve drafted patterns and constructed custom fit garments.
For over 15 years, I’ve been translating ideas, sorting data, and applying objectivity in my pursuit of solutions. I dislike inefficiency.
I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Fashion Design and also attained an Associate Degree of Arts plus a Graphic Design Certification. While I may be finished with formal education as of this moment, I believe that we must all make a valiant effort to learn every day. Regardless of how much an experienced professional we may be, there is always something new we can learn and improve upon.
Currently, I am working in Manhattan and Dallas as a handbag/accessory designer. I love what I do. And I love the supportive people that I am so blessed to have in my life.
